Systems Administrator - Mission Systems
 

 

Job Description:

     


Responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining operating system workstations and servers, in support of test mission requirements. Candidate will initially be assigned to the PATRIOT Test support program. Perform software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages. Schedule installation, upgrades and maintain them in accordance with established IT policies and procedures. -Supports media management through internal methods and procedures or through off site storage and retrieval services. Develops and promotes standard operating procedures. Conducts routine hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines. Develops and maintains a comprehensive operating system hardware and software configuration database/library of all supporting documentation.  Performs software IVIA updates and patches.

Knowledgeable of DoD Computer security and management policies, is a plus.
 

 

Required Skills:

     

 

Associates Degree or a minimum of 2 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and Proficient With Windows XP, Microsoft Office, Systems Management System (SMS), UNIX, SharePoint,, Cisco networks, Outlook, Excel, Outlook, Active Directory, Proficient with server configurations and hardware upgrades/replacement.
