The RAM
Data Evaluator collects and evaluates weapon system hardware and software
performance data. The RAM data collection responsibilities involve observing
and documenting all equipment activity, reviewing equipment logs for
pertinent information, and forwarding collected data electronically for
further processing using RAM specific software applications and electronic
data gathering equipment. Specific data elements to be collected include
equipment activity logs, equipment and meter readings, commodity
utilization, and other discrete event information. The RAM evaluator
responsibilities involve receiving RAM field data, identifying and resolving
data inconsistencies and errors, characterization of the operational state
of the equipment and the maintenance state of the activity using database
applications, assessing the need for a Test Incident Report, creating and
modifying Test Incident Reports, distributing processed data reports to
customers, and supporting scoring conferences to defend evaluation efforts
as required. Familiar with DoD MANPRINT a plus.
-
Arrive on site in a
timely manner to observe all equipment activity.
-
Intelligently
maintain a presence near observed equipment to afford the ability to
document all equipment activity during a work shift.
-
Irregular scheduling
of work shifts to match equipment activity is required.
-
Document all
observed equipment activity sufficiently to enable readers of the
equipment logs to understand all aspects of the equipment operation and
operational states.
-
Forward collected
data in a timely manner for further processing as required.
-
Provide a field
conduit to observed entities for review of draft TIRs.
-
Research test
incidents and ensure facts are presented accurately.
-
Receive RAM field
data and evaluate it. Identify and resolve data inconsistencies and
errors.
-
Use RAM specific
computer database applications to process data.
-
Characterize the
operational state of equipment under test using a defined code set.
-
Characterize the
maintenance state and activity of equipment under test using a defined
code set.
-
Determine the need
for Test Incident Reports to document test events, equipment anomalies,
and standard maintenance activity.
-
Use RAM Specific
computer database application to create, modify, and archive TIRs.
-
Distribute Processed
and Approved RAM data reports to defined customer recipients in accordance
with approved distribution lists.
-
Support TIR Scoring
Conferences as required.
-
Work is performed
under the supervision of a Principal or Staff Engineer, Task Leader, or
Project Manager.
-
Both
normal office environment and field work.
