Job Description:

|

Cisco network
administrator required to support ongoing distributed test activities and
network setup, test, and management. Responsible for performance, and
modifications to large scale WAN (distributed network used for WSMR
Distributed test operations)
-
Analyzes system,
user requirements, and procedures to automate processing or to improve
existing network system.
-
Used various network
performance monitoring and control tools.
-
Reviews network
system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations to determine if
requested program or program change is possible within existing system.
-
Plans and prepares
technical reports, memoranda, and instructional manuals as documentation
of program development.
-
Upgrades system and
corrects errors to maintain system after implementation.
-
Prepares workflow charts and diagrams to specify in detail operations to be
performed by equipment and computer programs and operations to be performed
by personnel in system.

Required Skills:
|

|
-
Associates degree
(BS desired) and a minimum of 2-7 years experience required or an
equivalent combination of education and training that provides the
required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Minimum of a CCNA
certification or equivalent Cisco equipment and configuration experience.
-
Network Operations
policies and procedures experience
-
Experience with
CISCO works, Solar Winds, sniffers, VoIP, Cisco Call manager.
-
Cisco 6500 routers,
3750 switches
-
Experience with DoD network and computer security and accreditation a plus.
